CHOOSING A RING

There’s no piece of jewellery more deeply personal than an engagement ring. A symbol of love; a reflection of style. It is truly timeless, and truly unique to the individual.

Colour, cut, clarity and carat are the four big considerations, alongside various other questions. Classic diamonds or colourful gemstones? Trendy or timeless? Understated or bold? Brand new or restored?

To Diamond or Not To Diamond?

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, or so the saying goes. Timeless, remarkably durable and a ‘symbol of eternal love’, they have been the classic centrepiece of engagement rings and wedding bands for decades. While still broadly popular, recent years have heralded a trend for more colourful gemstone engagement rings, with sapphire, emerald, ruby and aquamarine gaining prominence. These could feature as centrepiece stones, or be incorporated into classic diamond or eternity rings for a pop of colour.

Wedding Jewellery

With the ring and the dress sorted, the next step in planning a perfect wedding ensemble is the accessories. This could mean a stunning statement necklace, a delicate diamond tennis bracelet, eye catching hairpiece or elegant drop
earrings.

Wedding tiaras never go out of style and have become increasingly popular in recent years. In June 2021, Matthew embarked on one of his most remarkable custom made
projects to date – a diamond and pearl wedding tiara, which could also be worn as a necklace. The final piece was handmade over 650 hours, set with 11 incredibly rare South Sea Pearls and a total 580 diamonds, weighing 40.25cts.
