Description
'CHANTILLY'
Finalist for the Red Carpet Award at the 2015 Diamond Guild of Australia Jewellery Awards
'Chantilly' was a collaboration between Matthew Ely and Steve Der Bedrossian of Pink Kimberley Diamonds. It features 91 Argyle pink diamonds (1.73ct), 2 Argyle blue diamonds (0.34ct) and 60 white diamonds (0.25ct), all set in 18ct white and rose gold.
This intricate necklace can be converted into a ring with a few simple tweaks, showcasing Matthew's ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with innovative design.
Argyle Pink diamonds, once sourced predominantly from the Rio Tinto Argyle mine in Western Australia, have become increasingly coveted since the mine's closure in 2020. During its nearly three decades of operation, the Argyle mine produced approximately 90% of the world's pink diamonds, known for their exceptional vibrancy and unmatched quality.
This one-of-a-kind piece was handcrafted at the Matthew Ely Woollahra workshop & boutique.
